A couple of suggestions to try with the Katana... 1) If you set up a Katana patch where the only thing after the effects return is an EQ (or EQs), and then run the MFX unit into the effects return instead of the power amp in, you can tweak the sound of the Katana to match the sound of the IR or just adjust it for the environment you're playing int. 2) Try going into the front of the Katana, but using one of the Acoustic amps, which are closer to FRFR.

Thanks for taking the time to post this material! Is it possible to use stomp mode for amp1 channel changes and gain settings? Or is the only option snapshot mode using the lightening bolts for instant changes as you change snaps? I’ve tried using midi commander to assign a program change to a stop but it doesn't seem to work.

I just dropped 1200 Canadian with taxes yesterday on your tutorials. I am 67 now and can still do whats called for with a guitar! My JCM 800,s from 1984 are still in the cupboard. I was pulled between this and the line 6 pod go which is cool as well, but ended up with the Headrush core. Sold my Grandmeister 40 deluxe with the pedal to control it to buy this unit as i am retired now. Tons of really great stuff on the unit and figuring it all out is fun for sure. And quite easy to figure as well. I have an old digitech 2120 rack mount i still enjoy but its a different animal. Thanks for the tutorials and enjoy your week! Dave from Canada!

Thanks for the tut, but when I place the curser over the bpm box and use the scroll wheel ...mine jumps to the next time line and is not smooth like yours, I have disabled the jump to next line thingy but it still does not scroll smoothly like in your video. Thanks again for your tutorial.

I disagree. While any speaker, mics, cables, pres, etc will be able to do the job, the speaker you choose absolutely DOES matter if you're trying to get an ACCURATE response. Especially when you consider the fact that your audience is mostly made up the amateurs you're getting paid to market to; whom tend use low-grade inaccurate bookshelf speakers mislabeled by Yamaha/KRK/PreSonus/Avantone/Adam/JBL as "studio monitors". The technique you're showing is fine, and I understand that the marketing is more effective if the subscribers don't realize it works a lot better with gear they can't afford, but that's a rather dishonest fact to omit.

What does T stand for on the delays ??? (1/4T- 1/8T)

The 18i8 is awesome. But I can't seem to get mine registered. I've used it for playback from my MPC LIVE but, once I've unplugged put mt laptop to sleep the mix is lost because it continually fails to register my focusrite. WHAT am I doing wrong that it won't register?

I would use it as a summing tone box. I remember running a mix I did in the box thru this mixer and it did something absolutely wonderful to the sound.

The secret is to wire it up backward. So down is up and up is down. Every time you bump it, you're turning it up. Turn it all the way up (down) and it won't move any more when you bump it. ;-)
